Position Overview 

We are seeking a Client Advocate to add to our already phenomenal front desk team. Are you passionate about providing exceptional client experiences? River Oaks Animal Hospital is a rapidly growing clinic located in the Carolina Forest area of Myrtle Beach. Our practice is located in Myrtle Beach, SC, which means you will be surrounded by blue skies, sunshine, white sandy beaches, and the ocean!

Practice Overview

River Oaks Animal Hospital is a privately-owned small animal practice that opened in 2014. We believe in delivering WOW through our customer service, which means we put an emphasis on making a difference with each interaction we have in the hopes of changing one person’s day for the better. Leading with a servant’s heart is at the core of everything we do, so we focus on creating a positive experience for all of our staff and clients. When it comes to the care we provide, we can do it all. We are equipped to handle anything that comes our way from a regular health check-up to emergency services too. We do all of this while making sure to have a lot of fun too!

What You’ll Be Working On

  • Creating an experience for our clients and their pets
  • Collaboration with the clinical team, remote team, and doctors to ensure efficiency throughout the day.
  • Greet clients and escort them to the appropriate exam room for their visit
  • Provide exceptional care for clients assigned to you acting as the primary point person
  • Offer refreshments and snacks to ensure clients are comfortable during their visit
  • Engage and communicate with your clients keeping them updated on the status of their pet
  • Update client records to ensure accuracy during check-in/check-out for their visits
  • Responsible for payment processing at the end of the visit
  • Exhibit attentiveness and compassion while working with clients in various emotional states

Qualifications 

  • Highly motivated, with a passion for animals and providing great customer service
  • Minimum of High School Diploma or equivalent required
  • At least one year of experience in customer service role required.
  • At least one year of experience in veterinary practice preferred
  • Working knowledge of standard industry terminology and pet care products
  • Flexible schedule.
  • Demonstrated commitment to ethics and integrity
  • Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills
  • Team player with the ability to work independently to meet deadlines and objectives
  • Strong organization, time management, and attention to detail
