Camp Baldwin is a ministry of the Baldwin Baptist Association and we offer summer camp opportunities for churches around the southeast.  We are located on beautiful Wolf Bay in Elberta, Alabama and are just minutes away from the white sands of Alabama and Florida Gulf Coast beaches. This position is a 10 week seasonal position typically working 40 hours per week that includes salary, on campus housing, most meals, training, and weekly Bible study and worship opportunities.

Job Summary:

Camp Baldwin is presently looking for a dedicated, service minded student (Age 18-24) to serve as a RECREATION INTERN. The ultimate purpose of this internship is to serve God as we serve the leaders, teachers and counselors of our summer guest groups while gaining hands on practical experience helping lead fun recreational activities in a Christian camp environment. Camp Baldwin provides all guest groups with lodging, meals, recreational venues and general support, which allows the leadership of each group to focus directly on personalized ministry programs for their campers.

• Serving churches and ministries as they bring children and youth groups to camp
• Spiritual growth, Hard Work, Personal Growth, Forming deep friendships in a Christian community
• Enjoying all that the Alabama Gulf Coast has to offer with beautiful beaches and fun activities

Qualifications:

• Ability to work under leadership of Camp Baldwin Recreation Supervisors
• Must have a good attitude and be willing to provide fun and safe experiences for campers
• Position must be willing to be Red Cross Lifeguard certified (cost covered by Camp Baldwin) (Additional $25 per week for certified lifeguards if working full summer)

Responsibilities:

• Serve in all areas of camp ministry including recreation, food services, housekeeping, etc. in a busy Christian summer camp environment
• Participation in weekly worship services and Bible studies with camp staff
• Opportunities to help lead summer staff in multiple areas under guidance of full time staff
• Leadership role planning and leading recreation activities with children and youth campers including challenge course, laser tag, lake activities (zip line, water slides, kayaks, pedal boats), swimming pool, gel blasters, kayak tours, game room, etc.
