Job Description

Responsibilities:

• Responsible for the collection, decontamination, sterilization, and storage and distribution of surgical instrumentation and supplies for the organization.
• Demonstrates ability to perform all duties required of a Sterile Processing Technician while following government regulations.
• Responsible for ordering all medical supplies and stocking shelves daily.
• Responsible for keeping an inventory of all supplies and keeping the supply room clean and organized.

Qualifications/Position Requirements:

Education/Experience:

• Completion of an approved Sterile Processing course.
• 1-2 Years of Sterile Processing experience, Plastics Experience Preferable

Licensure/Certification:

• Approved Sterile Processing Technician certification, CSPDT or CRCST, OR approved certified surgical technologist, CST certification required within 1 year of hire.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Must possess thorough knowledge of surgical instrumentation.
• Requires frequent judgment and response, occasionally in response to disasters or emergencies, actual events or drills.
• Requires high-level visual and auditory acuity for timely response.

Experience:

• Sterile processing: 2 years (Required).

License/Certification:

• CSPDT (Required).

Will work 35 hours per week. Eligible for Insurance and 401k after 90 days of employment.
