Job Description

AFIMAC is seeking licensed Security Guards for an upcoming project in Guelph, Ontario.

Renumeration and Contract Length:

• $20.00 per hour before overtime
• Contract length 5-8 months

Shifts:

• Day and night shifts
• 12 hour shifts
• 5 days per week
• Weekend only shifts available

Position:

• Access Control
• Perimeter checks
• Report Writing
• Other duties as specified

Required Education, Skills and Qualifications

To be eligible to work for AFIMAC you must meet the following criteria:

• Possess a valid security guard license in the province of Ontario
• Previous access control experience preferred
• Strong customer service skills
• Able to travel to Guelph and be on-site for all shifts
• Flexibility to cover additional shifts when required.
• Ability to work 5 days per week: 12 hour shifts, including weekends and holidays
• Weekend only shift available (12 hour shifts)
• Able to sit, walk, stand for extended periods of time
• Able to read, write, and speak English
• Be a Canadian resident and legally entitled to work in Canada
• Previous experience dealing with confrontational situations and having the ability to de-escalate with little to no supervision
• Excellent report writing skills
