Job Summary :
We seek a detail-oriented and driven Senior Accountant to join our dynamic team at a Houston PE-backed oil field services company. The ideal candidate is a CPA or CPA Candidate with 3+ years of experience in public accounting, oilfield services, or private equity. This role involves overseeing financial reporting, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards, and contributing to the company's strategic growth initiatives.

Key Responsibilities :

• Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP.
• Manage general ledger activities, including reconciliations, journal entries, and month-end close processes.
• Collaborate with external auditors and ensure timely completion of audits.
• Monitor and analyze financial performance, including variance analysis and forecasting.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local tax regulations.
• Support budgeting and forecasting processes, providing key insights for decision-making.
• Assist in integrating accounting processes for acquisitions or new entities.
• Maintain and improve internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure accuracy of financial data.

Qualifications :

• CPA certification (or actively pursuing CPA licensure).
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 3+ years of progressive accounting experience, with exposure to private equity or oil and gas industries preferred.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting standards.
• Proficiency in ERP systems and advanced Excel skills (QuickBooks is a Plus).
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
