About the Senior Accountant Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Senior Accountant to join our finance team. In this role, you will oversee complex accounting tasks, prepare financial statements, ensure compliance with accounting standards, and support the organization’s financial objectives. You will thrive in a fast-paced environment, tackling challenges while building processes that focus on streamlined integrations and quality control.

Responsibilities

• Manage the general ledger and ensure all accounts are reconciled regularly.
• Assist with month-end close management, including assigned duties and team management using Blackline.
• Oversee contracts and prepaids to improve yearly cost forecasting.
• Manage the company’s credit card and expense program.
• Prepare and review journal entries, ensuring proper documentation and approval.
• Coordinate and support internal and external audits by preparing schedules and responding to inquiries.
• Ensure timely and accurate filing of tax documents, including payroll, property, income, and franchise taxes, as well as business licenses.
• Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy within the accounting function.
• Develop and document accounting policies and procedures.
• Utilize accounting software and tools to streamline operations and improve reporting.
• Collaborate with other departments to ensure accurate and timely financial information.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting with 5-7 years of progressive accounting experience, including at least 2 years in a senior or supervisory role.
• Exceptional communication skills to build strong relationships with team members and external stakeholders.
• A proactive and curious mindset, always seeking to innovate and improve operational processes.
• Experience in high-growth, operationally complex environments.
• Familiarity with NetSuite is highly desirable.
