Position: Senior Accountant

Location: Woburn MA [On-site]

Type: Full-time

The Role:

Exciting role as a Senior Accountant in a growing technology company. Ideal for a talented and driven business/CPA professional at the mid-stage of their career with potential for growth into management roles. You will report directly to VP, Operations and will focus on accounting tasks for the company, owning the general reporting and day-to-day accounting functions and workflows, working within Rootstock ERP and Salesforce CRM platforms. The role has significant potential for career progression and provides the opportunity to include management responsibilities in the future. Applicants should have experience in use of ERP/MRP systems, ideally Rootstock.

Key Responsibilities:

• Responsibility for accounting functions, ensuring accurate and timely financial records, contributing to accounting-based internal processes and workflows.
• Working within Rootstock ERP and Salesforce CRM platforms.
• Oversee the full accounting cycle, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and month-end/year-end close processes working with other admin and operations functions.
• Manage monthly inventory reconciliation process and ensure accuracy of financial reporting on a monthly basis.
• Work with senior management on tax filings, budgets, and forecasts.
• Implement and maintain efficient data entry workflows to ensure financial data integrity.
• Ensure compliance with all applicable accounting standards, tax regulations, and other legal/regulatory requirements
• Collaborate with other members of operations team to analyze financial performance, identify cost savings opportunities, and support strategic decision-making
• Help optimize and streamline inventory and purchasing processes, working with operations team.
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives.

Skills & Experience Requirements:

• >5 years in a corporate accounting role; ideally for related manufacturing industries with similar supply chains, logistics, and operational complexities, such as medical devices, electronics, or lighting.
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (Master's degree or CPA preferred). MBA ideal.
• Strong experience and skills using Rootstock ERP, Salesforce CRM, and MS Office software.
• Strong knowledge of inventory cost accounting.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
• Positive personality and strong team management abilities.
