Job Overview
We are looking for an Account Executive to join our dynamic K12 Sales Team. If you are passionate about education, technology, and fostering relationships, this role offers a unique opportunity to contribute to our growth and success. As an Account Executive, you will be responsible for driving new business in a defined geographic territory, building relationships with educators and administrators, and delivering tailored solutions to meet client needs.
Key Responsibilities:
Sales Target Achievement: Own and achieve annual sales targets for your assigned territory by generating and closing qualified leads.
Prospecting & Lead Generation: Develop and execute a daily strategy for outbound prospecting using multiple touchpoints, including calls, emails, and social media.
Client Relationship Building: Cultivate lasting relationships with prospective clients, understand their unique challenges, and tailor solutions to meet their needs.
Product Demonstrations & Pitches: Lead product demonstrations and pitches, ensuring they are personalized and relevant to the client's needs.
Collaboration: Work closely with internal teams including marketing, client success, sales engineers, and product specialists to provide a seamless customer experience.
Market Research: Stay up to date with educational trends, local policies, and opportunities to drive sales activities effectively.
Data Management & Reporting: Track and manage your sales activities in CRM systems (Salesforce), provide accurate forecasts, and ensure timely reporting.
Networking & Events: Engage in industry events, conferences, and trade shows to build connections and increase brand awareness.
Teamwork & Internal Communication: Collaborate across teams to ensure a smooth and professional client experience, and communicate effectively with management.
Qualifications:
Experience: 5+ years of proven success in new business development within the education sector. Experience with SaaS products is preferred.
Sales Skills: Strong "hunter" mentality with experience in qualifying, engaging, and closing sales opportunities.
Consultative Sales Approach: Experience in a consultative sales process, understanding client pain points and delivering tailored solutions.
Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present at all levels, including superintendents and district leaders.
CRM Experience: Familiarity with CRM tools such as Salesforce, and proficiency with business applications (e.g., G-Suite).
Team Collaboration: Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams to meet client needs.
