Catholic Charities of the Archdiocese of Newark ("CCAN") is a non-profit corporation affiliated with Mount Carmel Guild Schools Corporation ("MCGS"). MCGS operates Mount Carmel Guild Academy , a private out-of-district placement for children within special education, for grades PRE-K-12. The Academy is located in West Orange, New Jersey. MCGS is currently seeking a Full-Time Custodian.
The Custodian is primarily responsible for: Daily cleaning duties such as sweeping, mopping, and sanitizing classrooms, hallways, bathrooms, and all common areas. Beyond basic cleaning, custodians are also responsible for minor maintenance and repair tasks, ranging from fixing leaky faucets to replacing light bulbs, thereby ensuring that all school facilities are in working order. They manage waste disposal, handle spills, and address any immediate hazards that could compromise the safety of students and staff. Set up and take down of equipment and furniture for school events, contributing to the smooth operation of school functions and activities. Maintaining the physical upkeep of the building; monitoring and securing the premises, ensuring that the school is a safe place for everyone.
