Job Description

As the IAC RNS Administrative Assistant you will provide essential administrative support, program coordination, and fiscal/travel support for the Rural Nutrition USDA NIFA grant. This includes managing administrative tasks, serving as a key contact point for students and instructors, coordinating grant activities, scheduling meetings, handling course approvals and reports, assisting with form submissions, managing the calendar for courses, and overseeing budgetary processes, procurement, and travel logistics for seminars. The role requires a strong focus on organization, communication, and attention to detail to ensure the smooth operation of academic activities and events.

Minimum Qualifications:

High School graduation and three years progressively responsible office/administrative experience, or an equivalent combination of training and experience.

Position Details:

This position is located on the Interior Alaska Campus in Fairbanks, AK. This is a full-time, 9-month, non-exempt staff position complete with both a competitive salary and  full employee benefits package . UA provides a generous compensation package that includes retirement options, annual leave, 12 paid holidays per year, tuition waivers for employees and family members, and affordable medical, dental and vision care coverage. New hires will be placed on the  UA Staff Salary Schedule , Grade 77, based on education and experience.
