WHAT YOU'LL DO: In this role, the Public Relations Coordinators assists the Regional STEM Hub Director in implementing programs to achieve outcomes determined by the Iowa Governor's STEM Advisory Council. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: conducting presentations to educational businesses, economic development and workforce groups related to STEM education and trends, establishing effective working relationships with every STEM-related entities and developing communication strategies to promote the work of the STEM Council and engage new audiences.

About the Department: The Southeast Iowa STEM Region is focuses on improving the lives of young people through S cience, T echnology, E ngineering and M athematics. STEM Council works in collaboration with bipartisan Iowa legislators, educators, business, nonprofits, students, and families focused on improving STEM opportunities and awareness in Iowa.

Percent of Time: 60-70%
Compensation : Anticipated salary $44,000 - $52,000 Full-Time Equivalent (FTE). Salary is dependent upon qualifications and will be discussed at time of interviews.
Hybrid within Iowa: This position is eligible for a combination of on-campus and remote work within Iowa and will require a work arrangement form to be completed upon the start of your employment. Per policy, work arrangements will be reviewed annually, and must comply with the remote work program and related policies and employee travel policy when working at a remote location .
