Crude Oil Operator at Glencore Ltd (Houston, TX)
Leverage economic research and analysis to assist with physical movement of oil via truck, railcar, pipeline, cargo, barge, tank transfer, etc. whilst adding vital economic, statistical and market intelligence to the entire U.S. oil business, including our trading desk and in-house oil research team. Daily job duties include:
Compile, review, and send daily physical crude oil position reports;
Accurately record and review invoices related to crude oil movements; Compile, submit, and update all required nominations and communications for Vessel and Pipeline crude oil movements, including coordinating inspection companies, Loss Control, and Agents and accurately exporting documentation and demurrage packets; Implement processes to ensure crude oil contracts are executed without error; Communicate with trading team regarding physical volumes, positions, and quality of crude oil; Utilize knowledge of crude oil nomination platforms to ensure volumes are nominated and move as planned and meet all required nomination deadlines; Diligently review, draft and send crude oil contracts; Promptly update crude oil trade capture and volume management systems to ensure exposure is always reported accurately; Communicate with crude risk team to ensure positions are managed; and Update scheduling system with accurate volumes, Bill of Lading, Transfer Dates, etc., (activities related to crude oil movements).Requires a Bachelor degree in Economics, Business Administration, Finance, a related field or foreign equivalent, plus 5 years of progressively responsible experience in any occupation where crude oil scheduling or related experience was gained. Experience must include:
5 years of experience with crude oil movements through all North American (including Gulf Coast) Crude Oil Terminals and Pipelines, including crude oil blending; 5 years of experience creating and implementing processes and procedures related to accurate record keeping affecting crude oil hedging and profit and loss; 5 years of experience with month end processes, including inventory management and in-transit inventory; 5 years of experience with the review storage and counterparty contracts; 5 years of experience with crude oil exposure and profit and loss; 5 years of experience blending crude oil, delivering, and receiving crude oil via pipeline or vessel; including all nominations and communications required to meet contract terms; 5 years of experience working alongside crude oil trading team and communicating plans of actions to meet required purchases and sales; 5 years of experience creating and completing physical crude oil position reports; and 5 years of experience managing emails and communications regarding crude oil movements and related queries.CV to jobpostings@glencore-us.com, Ref: HJ1
