Job Description
This role is remote, but the PM may need to travel to Jacksonville, FL quarterly and/or for critical project meetings.
Our client needs a Project Manager for key projects relating to banking and finances, fraud, and payments.
- Defining Project Scope, Objectives, and Deliverables:
- Work with stakeholders to define project goals, objectives, scope, and deliverables that support business goals.
- Develop comprehensive project plans that outline tasks, timelines, resources, and key deliverables.
- Ensure alignment of project objectives with organizational strategy and goals.
- Project Planning and Resource Allocation:
- Develop detailed project plans, including task assignments, schedules, budgets, and resource allocation.
- Identify resource requirements and work with cross-functional teams to ensure resource availability and allocation.
- Adjust plans and resources as needed to accommodate changes or unforeseen challenges.
- Risk Identification and Mitigation:
- Proactively identify potential risks and issues that could impact project delivery.
- Develop and implement risk mitigation strategies to minimize project disruption.
- Maintain a risk log and ensure regular risk assessment and communication with stakeholders.
- Monitoring Progress and Adherence to Schedules and Budgets:
- Monitor project progress against the plan, ensuring projects are delivered on time and within budget.
- Track project performance, specifically to analyze the successful completion of short- and long-term goals.
- Report and escalate issues as needed to ensure project milestones are met.
- Coordination and Communication with Stakeholders:
- Serve as the primary point of contact for all project-related communications.
- Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure timely and effective communication.
- Facilitate project meetings, status updates, and presentations to keep stakeholders informed.
- Stakeholder Engagement and Feedback:
- Engage with stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle to gather feedback and ensure satisfaction.
- Develop and maintain strong working relationships with all stakeholders to facilitate collaboration and successful project delivery.
- Lessons Learned and Future Improvements:
- Conduct post-project evaluations to capture lessons learned and identify areas for improvement.
- Document findings and implement changes to improve future project management processes.
- Utilizing Clarity PPM or Similar Tools:
- Leverage project management tools, such as Clarity PPM, to plan, track, and manage project progress.
- Ensure accurate and up-to-date project data is maintained within the project management tool.
- Use data analytics and reporting tools to provide insights and recommendations to leadership.
- Create Excel spreadsheets and use for analysis.
- Create PowerPoint presentations that communicate issues, options and solutions.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Project Management, or related field.
- 5+ years of experience in project management, preferably within a corporate environment.
- Business Analysis skills.
- Proven experience managing multiple projects simultaneously, with a track record of delivering projects on time and within budget.
- Strong knowledge of project management methodologies and tools (e.g., Clarity PPM, MS Project).
- Strong Knowledge of Excel and PowerPoint.
- Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders at all levels.
