Job Summary:
We are seeking a reliable and skilled Handyman to join our team and perform a wide range of maintenance and repair tasks. The Handyman will be responsible for ensuring that residential and commercial properties are in good working condition by conducting basic repairs, installations, and routine maintenance tasks. The ideal candidate is knowledgeable in multiple trades, including plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and general maintenance.
Key Responsibilities:
• Perform general maintenance and repair tasks such as painting, drywall repair, carpentry, plumbing, and electrical work.
• Conduct inspections of properties to assess potential maintenance or repair needs.
• Troubleshoot and fix minor electrical issues such as changing switches, light fixtures, and outlets.
• Repair plumbing fixtures, including sinks, toilets, faucets, and pipes.
• Assemble furniture, install shelving, and hang doors, mirrors, and artwork.
• Perform routine maintenance tasks such as cleaning gutters, pressure washing, and ensuring property cleanliness.
• Maintain and repair small mechanical and electrical appliances.
• Install fixtures and appliances as needed (e.g., light bulbs, fans, kitchen or bathroom hardware).
• Provide regular updates and reports on work completed, including any materials needed for future repairs.
• Collaborate with property managers or homeowners to identify repair and maintenance priorities.
• Ensure that all work complies with safety regulations and standards.
Requirements:
• Proven experience as a Handyman or in a similar role.
• Ability to perform a wide range of repairs and maintenance tasks (e.g., electrical, plumbing, carpentry).
• Knowledge of basic tools and materials used in maintenance and repairs.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Physical stamina and ability to lift and carry heavy objects.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to high-quality workmanship.
• Excellent time management and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently and efficiently manage tasks.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Certification or training in a specific trade (e.g., plumbing, electrical) is a plus.
• Prior experience working in residential or commercial property maintenance.
• Strong customer service skills and the ability to communicate effectively with clients.
