Job Description

BAR@548 in St. Petersburg, FL is looking for one part-time (M/W/F from 8am - 4pm or comparable), with potential to become full time, Maintenance/Handyman/Janitor to join our 16 person strong team. We are located on 548 Central Avenue. Our ideal candidate is attentive, motivated, and hard-working. 

In this position, it will be your responsibility to help us with whatever basic to complex repair, maintenance, and cleaning tasks that require attention. For example, you’ll be asked to replace lightbulbs, fix minor electrical problems, clean and remodel bar spaces, and resolve plumbing issues, sheetrock repair, painting in addition to scheduling other maintenance vendors if required (such as A/C company, Ice Machine company. Dishwasher company, etc), remove debris/grafitti, powerwash etc as needed.

To do well in this position, you will need to be capable of completing most basic to advanced maintenance and repair tasks without much supervision. That means you must be a self starter, pro-active, and comfortable with using a wide variety of hand and power tools to complete your delegated tasks.

Maintenance/Handyman/Janitor Responsibilities:

• Perform simple to complex repairs on company appliances, machines, and equipment
• Use a variety of hand and power tools without supervision
• Repair and maintain plumbing and electrical systems
• Assist with the cleaning and remodeling of bar spaces
• Oversee the maintenance of various devices and appliances
• Use a proactive approach to identify and fix any issues before they become problems
• Schedule and oversee outside vendors neccessary to complete job
• Clean and maintain a variety of restaurant equipment
• Clean/powerwash/scrub areas as needed

Maintenance/Handyman/Janitor Requirements:

• Previous experience in a similar role
• Knowledge of plumbing and electrical systems
• Basic carpentry and masonry skills
• Ability to complete a wide array of repair and maintenance tasks with minimal supervision
• Physical ability to lift heavy items, climb ladders/stairs, and perform job tasks that may include moderate physical exertion

To be successful in this role you must be able to show up on your scheduled days/times. This is a critical role to the function of the business and as such you must be able to follow a schedule and have excellent time mangement skills. You must be able to pass a criminal background check.
