Hours:
- Will be working swing shift, 7-7, will rotate from days/nights.
- Overtime will be required.
Compensation for Lab Technician:
Duties include:
- Adhere to all safety guidelines, rules, and regulations set forth by the company.
- Must follow Plant and Personal Safety Programs and Safe Work Practices. Individual will not take unnecessary risks to complete job assignments. Ensure safe work and operation of equipment is being performed properly.
- Follow all applicable Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), Quality and Food safety guidelines and QCL/SOPs set forth by the company.
- Be the example of safety, quality, and positive attitude. Conducting self professionally with coworkers and management.
- Interface with plant engineers and management on shutdowns and special projects.
- Understand and follow written and verbal instructions and procedures that may be given by management.
- Have a quality mindset and knowledge of general Lab terminology and Lab Practices.
- Run variety of analysis on process samples from raw material to finished product using a Standard Operating Procedure with several different software applications and several different instruments including automatic titrators and GC’s.
- Accurate data entry skills, along with accurate and neat record keeping skills.
- Making solutions with analytical accuracy.
- Good communication skills with management & peers concerning analysis by phone and email, a working knowledge of Microsoft Outlook and Excel software.
- Keep work areas clean & stocked.
- Be able to lift up to 50lbs and push 100 lbs.
- Must follow Plant and Personal Safety Programs and safe work practices.
- Ability to understand FIFO of chemicals and supplies.
- Ability to multi-task in a high paced high volume Lab environment.
- Be able to work with minimal supervision and be team oriented.
- Must be able to work 12-hour shifts (7-7), rotating two weeks day shift and two weeks night shift, and also required to work some overtime as designated back up for vacation coverage.
- Other items that may be assigned by management.
- A two (2) year AS degree in Chemistry, Biology or Process Technology is desired.
- Two (2) years of Process Industrial experience required.
- Process Technology and Industrial Quality Control Experience desired.
- Candidates who’ve worked in a Pharmacy that compounds medications or a Hospital lab would be a plus.
- HSD/GED required.

Benefits Include (once rolled over to client):
- BC/BS of Alabama (80/20): Individual - $100 per/month Family - $392 per/month (starts the 1st of the following month of hire).
