The Inside Commercial Property Claims Adjuster manages the entire life cycle of assigned commercial claims acting as the subject matter expert and point of contact. This position demonstrates complete ownership of each stage and follow up until resolution is reached on each claim.

  • Handle complex/large loss commercial property claims
  • Estimate and/or determine coverage based on policy and carrier guidelines.
  • Manage efficient cycle times and quality of claims handling.
  • Mobilize additional resources for claim investigation.
  • Coordinate loss investigations on all assigned claims
  • Verify facts and determine coverage by evaluating policy provisions, endorsements, etc.
  • Maintain detailed documentation and follow up on each file.
  • Exercise objective judgment and critical decision making to resolve issues ▪ Initiate and respond to correspondence in a friendly and timely manner.
  • Develop positive relationships with customers, contractor, PAs, Attorneys, and Engineers
  • Serve as subject matter expert to ensure knowledge sharing when needed.
  • Examine documents for completeness, accuracy and conformance to carrier guidelines and polices.
  • When needed, make revisions and/or collaborate on files ▪ Always follow contract, property, and insurance laws.
  • Note and follow up on discrepancies in files.
  • Communicate the status of claims to the management and leadership.
  • Create and provide necessary claim documentation.
  • Perform proper claim escalation procedures to management.
  • Attend and participate in training, team meetings and projects as needed.
  • Knowledge share and assist peers when needed.
  • Execute excellent customer service ▪ Represent the company with a high level of professionalism.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Skills & Requirements:

  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in commercial/large loss claim handling, estimating, and policy interpretation.
  • Texas licenses require 9+ additional current licenses.
  • Experience with Xactimate and collaboration required.
  • Experience in estimating property claims over the phone is a plus.
  • Previous agricultural experience a plus
  • Previous staff adjusting experience a plus.
  • Proficient computer skills
  • Strong relationship building skills and ability to work well with others.
  • High level of time management skills
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Self-motivated critical thinker who can work independently to solve problems.
  • Ability to multitask and quickly adapt to changing/conflicting priorities.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

  • Regular and on-time attendance.
  • Hours may regularly exceed 40 hours per week.

Starting salary range:

  • $36.00-$42.00 per hour based on experience

  • Full-Time (M-F, 8am-5pm) *Subject to change based on role/carrier requirements.
