Acara Solutions is seeking qualified candidates to work at our client site in Clarence, NY .

Here's what you'll do:

• Woodshop Dept needs a CNC operator to cut wood and plastic items that we use for cabinetry and parts. This involves selecting a cutting job from the CNC computer and starting it.  The CNC machine is automatic and runs afterward you select the job.  
• The CNC operator continues to place new wood sheets or plastics sheets into the CNC machine for the next job.
• The CNC operator cleans after saw dust and debris and then stacks the newly cut parts for material handlers to retrieve.
• The CNC operator also uses a hand held router to finish the pieces of cut parts and cabinetry. 
• The CNC operator also sweeps and keeps their work area clean from debris.

Hours: Monday-Friday; 5:30am - 2pm or 3pm

Pay: $17/hr. to start then $18/hr. after 4 weeks of meeting expectations ( attendance, safety, quality, communicatio n).

Job Requirements

Required Skills / Qualifications:

1) Must have at least 6 months of recent related work experience ( production & machine operation )

2) Must be able to lift 50lbs unassisted

3) Must have at least 6 months of utilizing various powered hand tools and measuring devices.

Preferred Skills / Qualifications:

• Must have attention to detail and follow directions
• Must be comfortable with moderate pace work feeding the CNC machine with material
• Must be able to move, lift, slide material up to 75lbs with assistance on to the table of the CNC machine.
• Must be safety conscious. 
• Ability to use computer and mouse by selecting appropriate program
